RE/PRESS Editions, a line of functional ceramic goods, was created in 2016 by visual artist Julia Elsas. Each ceramic piece is one-of-a-kind and hand-built in Julia’s Brooklyn, NY studio.
Julia’s visual art encompasses printmaking, collage, textiles, sculpture, ceramics, paper making, installation, and performance.
Julia Elsas was born in Birmingham, Alabama and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

Julia has been an artist-in-residence at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica di Venezia in Venice, Italy; the Gowanus Studio Space Printmaking Residency in Brooklyn, NY; the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts Residency in Amherst, VA; and the Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, CA. She was recently selected to participate in the inaugural cohort of the New Jewish Culture Fellowship, a project of Brooklyn Jews designed to amplify and connect local artists who are questioning and creating new Jewish art and culture.
Julia teaches printmaking and ceramics at Montclair State University, Lower East Side Print Shop and New Jersey City University.
